In Full Swing!

Well the holiday season is in full swing! So fun!
I'm waiting on the hubs to get my decorations down from the attic! Brodey loves to hang the ornaments on the tree. Of course I wait until he is asleep to adjust a little bit, but he thinks he helps! ;)
I made this super quick holiday card with the Big On Christmas stamp set. It's been around for a while and I can see why! I love how versatile it is! I made this card in no time!

I stamped the image first on a scrap piece of watercolor paper. I colored the cute little tree and cut it out. I then stamped and colored the whole image on another piece of watercolor paper. I adhered the scrap paper tree with a foam adhesive square over the other tree. I added it to the card along with a couple of embossed strips of black cardstock and a piece of scalloped red cardstock. I topped it off with a little ribbon! So easy and FUN! It's like coloring when you are little but way better! ;)
Supplies:
Big On Christmas Stamp Set
Satin Ribbon
Black Stazon Ink
Markers
Blender Pen
Watercolor Paper
Cardstock

There are still 2 weeks and 2 days to get your order in to Stampin Up to ensure it's here by Christmas! The cutoff date is the 15th! If you would like to host a Stampin Up party let me know! The hostess benefits are great! You can invite your friends over and we can make cards, tags, or whatever you can use this Christmas season!
Just a Reminder:
TOMORROW is the last day for the Online Spectacular and the 1/2 Price Start Kit!
ALSO! My Stamper's Night Out is tomorrow night at 6:30! I would love to have you! We will be making some fun tags for all your Christmas gifts!

Well I'm off to clean the house a bit! How do we destroy it SO badly when we aren't even here all weekend!?! It's a mystery.

Scrap Card: Friends for the Long Haul

Do you scrapbook? I do! After I finish a page I always have little patterned paper scraps laying around. They are usually perfect size for a card and that's what I used for this little card today!
Supplies:
Greenhouse Gala Paper 117167
Cardstock 121077
Loads of Love Stamps 115022
Loads of Love Accessories 115024
Stampin Up Markers 119702
Blending Pen 102845
Perfect Polka Dotz Texture Impression 117335

What I love most about Stampin Up is that all of their colors match! I can find the exact marker, watercolor pencil, ink and cardstock to match my paper! That makes it so easy to ink any stamp to suite your project!
The Loads of Love stamp set I used on this card doesn't really go with the Greenhouse Gala paper, but since I inked it the colors to match the paper it is perfect!
The scraps on this card are from a layout I made today! It just might be a scrapbook class in the future! ;) Speaking of classes...if you were thinking of taking the Bag of Tags class next week you better sign up! It will be fun!
Oh I almost forgot to tell you!!! Stampin Up has jumped on the Black Friday sale week wagon and offered some AWESOME deals!!! Go to my website HERE and click on the link at the bottom that says ONLINE SPECTACULAR! Great deals on stamps, dies, supplies, and My Digital Studio software is half off! Also if you place an order of $150 or more your shipping is FREE! Check it out!
The next time you have scraps left over from a project you should whip up a little card! :)
I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Did you know?

Did you know that Stampin Up! has their very own digital desing software!?! Well they do! It's called My Digital Studio! You can even order printed products such as calendars and Christmas card from them! If you don't have the software you can still download brushes, kits, and phrases!
That's exactly how I made this VERY fast hybrid card!
I shopped online and chose the digital elements. I purchased them and downloaded them. The download is SO easy! There are other companies where I have downloaded digital elements and with my sorry internet it took FOREVER. This took no time at all! The best thing about it was that after I downloaded my product it put it in a "Downloaded" category so I would know what had finished! I LOVE that! It might seem silly, but it's the little things right? ;)
Since I don't have the My Digital Studio software yet, I used Photoshop. They worked like any other digital elements!
I opened a new document that was the size of the card I wanted to make and started playing! To turn the green frame the Old Olive Stampin Up color, I simply used my Eyedropper tool to select the Old Olive cardstock from another project I had taken a photo of.
I then set my printer to watercolor paper and printed the large frame. I colored the fower with my watercolors pencils and printed out the smaller frame with the sentiment.
SO easy and fun! My printer is an Epson R1800 and my blender pen did not smudge the ink on the flowers.
Although I will never be a totally hybrid or digital papercrafter, sometimes it's fun to play around and see what I can do with other products! The digital elements are instant gratification while I'm waiting on my new Stampin Up order!

Here is a list of all the products I used to make my card:
Digital Frames 123727
Flower & Watermark Image Behind Flower 118829
Happiness Sentiment 118831
Whisper White Satin Ribbon 114616
Watercolor Paper 105019
Pink Cardstock Pretty In Pink 100459

Also don't forget the SUPER Starter Kit 50% off deal!! You only have until November 30th to take advantage!
If you have any questions about this card, My Digital Studio, or Stampin Up please don't hesitate to ask! You can comment here or send me an email at aprilmassad@yahoo.com!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A Couple of Kit Cards

Happy Monday! I thought I would post a couple of cards today that I made with my Stampin Up! Starter Kit!
I placed my first order on Saturday and I can't wait to get all the goodies! I'm going to bring them to the Stamper's Night Out so everyone can play with them!
I can't even tell you how much I LOVE this stamp set I used in the card above! Maybe it's because I have a boy...who knows! But I LOVE this little truck! There are also accessories to go with it! FUN!
The great thing about the Starter Kit is that you can customize it. I subbed this set for a heart set that was in the kit. I'm so glad I did!

The stamp set I used in this card came in the kit and I loved it so I kept it!
I colored it with watercolor pencils (not Stampin Up ones because they hadn't arrived yet but I've heard they are awesome) and used the blender pen to make it purdy! ;) If you will be attending Stamper's Night Out you will get your very own blender pen and we will be doing this very technique! Can't wait!

Here are the Stampin Up items I used:
"Loads of Love"
Stamp Set: Loads of Love 115022
Inks: Marina Mist 119668, Old Olive 102277, Real Red 103133, Basic Black 101179
Blender Pen 102845
Ribbon 109025
Cardstock: Whisper White 119952, Old Olive 100702, Regal Rose 105130
Watercolor Paper 105019

"Get Well Wishes"
Stamp Set: Fun and Fast Notes 113500
Satin Ribbon 114616
Cardstock: Whisper White 119952, Regal Rose 105130
Watercolor Paper 105019
The embossing plate I used on the Regal Rose cardstock is not SU, but they have one I am getting that is much prettier called Vintage Wallpaper 120175!

Well I hope you like the cards! I sure had fun making them!
I hope you had a great Monday!

Let me count the ways...

I have only been with Stampin Up for a couple of weeks now and I am in love with it! Before I even received my Starter Kit I went online and checked out all of the resources, the forums, and the projects. The people are so helpful and sharing! I instantly felt at home and was in love with the people and the company!
Then they announced this:
Isn't that awesome! I paid the regular price for my starter kit and it was worth every penny! But now you can sign up for only $87.50! You can customize many of the items in the kit and you can add on the Digital+ Starter Kit!
If you have EVER considered Stampin Up now is the time to do it! This special only lasts from November 15-30. I love how it comes just in time to share awesome Stampin Up products for Christmas!
If you live near me (Tahlequah, OK) you can come to my Stamper's Night Out to learn more and play with the SU products! They are SO much fun!
